SAFE-NOW (Sexual Assault Forensic Exams – Nowata, Osage and Washington counties) formerly known as Washington-Nowata County SANE is a Bartlesville based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides compassionate forensic medical exams to all victims of rape, sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. These exams are performed by specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE).
SAFE-NOW also offers the services of our Victim Advocates who provide compassion and emotional support to victims during the initial exam process and follow-up care.
SAFE-NOW also offers free women’s self-defense classes to the community in collaboration with Primary Care Associates, PLLC and Guise Premier Martial Arts.
SAFE-NOW is dedicated to raising awareness and ending sexual violence by partnering with Tri County Tech to present a Teen Dating Violence Prevention program to high school students.
SAFE-NOW has been in operation in Bartlesville since 1999 and has performed forensic medical exams on men, women and children, of all races, ages, and socio-economic levels. Our Nurse Examiners are on call 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
